Beam beneficiaries likely to miss classes as funds run short PDF Print E-mail
The Basic Assistance Education Module (Beam) is short of US$4 million, leaving scores of vulnerable children at risk of missing classes this year. Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Nicholas Goche revealed last week that Government has committed US$15 million while development partners have also committed $10 million to the programme. The National Aids Council (Nac) has also contributed US$1 million.
