ZIMTA to hold annual conference PDF Print E-mail

Zimbabwe Teachers’ Association (ZIMTA) is due to hold its 35th annual conference in Victoria Falls later this month with Matebeleland North being the host province.

The conference will run from April 27 to 30 under the theme “Equitable Quality Education a Public Human Right Goal for Sustainable Societies”.

About 250 delegates drawn from ZIMTA’s membership from the country’s 10 provinces, key stakeholders from the ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, Education International and SADC countries teachers’ union’s representatives are expected to attend.

At previous conferences, teachers demanded improved salaries and better working conditions and a stake in the empowerment drive
